All our castles come with safety mats, the necessary equipment needed to ensure it functions in a safe way, and rain covers where needed.
Important Sizing Information
Please note, that it’s important to check sizing before booking the castle, as incorrect spacing could mean we are unable to set up safely. We are more than happy to offer any advice on this beforehand.
Important Surface Information
It’s important that we are able to anchor the castles down safely, so a grass surface is needed to peg the castles. Occasionally we can set up on other surfaces but will need to talk through this on an individual basis.

The faces behind the name
Tom and Katie, the owners of Churchy’s Castles, run an independent, family owned business, based in Honiton, Devon. Our passion and purpose is to ensure that regardless of the event, you have the best experience when using our bouncy castles, taking the pressure off you to ensure that you have a fun filled event. With young children of our own, we know how much fun a bouncy castle can bring to an event, and we aim to ensure this is achievable, with a focus on customer service, safety, and most importantly….fun!
A new direction
Starting in 2020, (what a year to start a business) we’ve had the opportunity to take on a previously existing and successfully bouncy castle business from our close family friends and family run company Lazy Sundays. Tom previously worked with them over the summer months, both at public events and private hires. The memories of this, alongside spending several summers down the beach with the castles, came to the forefront of our minds when we were offered the opportunity to take over the bouncy castles, keeping them in a family run business. Both Katie and Tom have extensive experience in the entertainment industry as well as separate jobs that put people and customer experience at the heart of what they do.

FAQs
Is the equipment hire for a set period of time?
Unlike some other companies, we believe that you should not be rushed into enjoying your bouncy castle experience. All prices are a set price regardless of time, with the only extra charge being for further distance.
Do you have a cancellation policy and is a deposit required?
As a family-run business, we need to ensure that our costs are covered, whilst understanding that at times things don’t always go to plan. Please see our Book Now page to view our cancellation policy. A 20% deposit is needed to secure all bookings.
What impact does the weather have on our booking?
Legally, we can not supply a bouncy castle if the wind gust speed is over 24mph. Whilst we will take into account the surroundings as some venues are more sheltered than others, we will not take any risks on this. We will be in touch the night before to discuss and will make the decision on the day. In regards to rain, as long as it is not heavy rain we will still hire the castles, but you will need to consider user experience. Again, this will be discussed just before the event.
How long does it take to set up?
Generally, the castles take roughly 30-45 mins to fully inflate ready for use. Access will often impact this so please let us know if there are likely to be any additional access requirements.
What kind of power is needed?
We will supply all the power requirements needed but will require a continuous isolated power source no longer than 25 meters away.
How much room do I need?
Depending on the size of the castle (see products), you will need to ensure that this fits comfortably into your space, with room around the back and sides for the power, as well as room in front for entry/exit. Please note it is your responsibility to ensure that suitable space is provided.
Can I use it on any surface?
To an extent. The surface area will need to be flat and contain a surface that will not cause any damage to the outside of the castle. Grass is the preferred surface and any other surfaces will need to be talked through on an individual basis.
How important are the access requirements?
We need to ensure that we can safely access the preferred position for the castle. Please take into account the weather conditions and discuss any requirements with us beforehand so we can try and accommodate these. Unreasonable access could lead to a cancellation of the booking.
Are the castles safe and clean?
Our castles are cleaned after every use. We ask that you ensure that nothing is used on the castle that could lead to it becoming damaged or permanently stained. Our castles are put through a rigorous safety check yearly by a professional. We are fully insured, however, it is the responsibility of the booker to ensure that all rules are abided to as stated in the booking confirmation form.
